About the Event

'A brilliantly organised event. It pushes you more than I'd imagined, challenges your biking skills as well as your fitness & was a great introduction to the camaraderie of endurance riding.' - David Allsop 2024

'What a great event. The camaraderie was great at the base. The road was beautiful taking in some of the best bits of Norfolk on quiet roads. The spirit of the event is lovely…particularly in those dark times!' - Competitor Review of 2024

Want to give Ultra-cycling or a bikepacking race a go but don’t know where to start? Then Norfolk 360 is designed for you! It is the perfect beginners' Ultra-cycle event.

Norfolk 360 is a hybrid cycling event where you’ll ride both road and off-road segments which will lead you to some of Norfolk’s most iconic sights. Cycling from coast to castles, you will travel from Thetford Forest to the grand Holkham Hall, taking in breathtaking scenery along the way. WITH A LOT LESS SAND THAN 2024!

Norfolk 360 is inspired by the compass and the course is designed in 4 loops that make up the 360-mile ride. Experience the flatlands of Norfolk in a self-supported ultra-cycle adventure that takes you to all 4-points of this beautiful county.

The 4 loops are designed to give you ownership of your race; you will have the option to do as much or as little as you want. There will be a central checkpoint that connects all four segments of the course, and each rider will have the option of cycling 112 miles, 200 miles, 280 miles, or the full 360. Don’t worry about carrying all the extra weight of camping equipment and spare clothes. You can leave a bag with all this at the central checkpoint and pick up what you need each time you come through. The central checkpoint is a safe environment inside a warm village hall where cyclists can sleep and store all their essentials. There will always be a race organiser on site to give guidance and support to the competitors.

The race will be tracked live and be on websites such as Dotwatcher.cc so family and friends can follow your travels and success as you traverse the Norfolk countryside. Along with this, it allows the All Pace Races team to continually monitor you, adding that extra level of safety.

Norfolk 360 is an opportunity for you to push yourself and see what you are capable of without the worry of ending up hundreds of miles away from the start. You will never be too far from safety and there are easier more direct routes back to the central point. The varying distances are designed to allow the normal club cyclist to take on the adventure of an ultra-cycle without the need to commit to years of preparation or buying new expensive gear.

Norfolk 360 takes place at the start of April allowing you to put that winter training to good use. Starting early on the Saturday morning, you have 36 hours to complete as much of the race as possible. 30% of the route will be off-road and 70% of the route will be road cycling; this split gives plenty of time to complete the full 360-mile compass. Designed for gravel bikes. A chunky tyre to give that extra protection and comfort is advised.

Due to the early start on the Saturday morning, you can bunk down at Claxton Village Hall on the Friday night. Last year this was great fun with riders sitting around, sharing stories and having a laugh. This is what Norfolk 360 is all about and made for a great atmosphere. On Friday night and Saturday morning, there will be dinner and breakfast available to buy.

If after all of this you find yourself stuck we have a pick-up service if you need it. Day or Night we have you covered.

We want to encourage everybody to give ultra cycling a go but understand how daunting it can be. So, NEW THIS YEAR, if you enter Norfolk 360 you can organise a call with Director Tom Levy to discuss any worries or concerns you have. Or if you are competitive and feel comfortable with the distance but have more specific questions Tom will answer those too. Drop us an email to organise a time.

Every competitor will receive the Norfolk 360 handmade tile. So sign up today and see how many loops you can complete! There will be prizes for the top 3 Females, Males, and Pairs. If you enter as a pair you must stay as a pair. Meaning if one of you has to pull out, the other does too.

'If you're ready for an event but they all sound too daunting? This is the event for you. Most excellent support from Tom and crew. Can't wait to see what's next on their event calendar.' - 2024 Competitor

We encourage everyone to make it to the start line under their own steam. There is parking at the venue. If you are driving, you will need to purchase a limited parking permit below. We encourage lift sharing if possible. If you have a spare space in your car and you can offer it out, put a message out on our Facebook page. It is encouraged participants to have suitable insurance that covers personal liability and, in addition, overseas participants may want medical/accident cover.
