THE NEXT STEP IN YOUR ULTRA CYCLING EXPERIENCE
It will give you the experience of an ultra-distance event wrapped up in one weekend!
Ever dreamed of tackling an Ultra-cycle or bikepacking event but didn't know where to start? Welcome to the Iceni 360. The perfect launchpad for your endurance cycling journey.
This is a hybrid adventure designed to help you discover what you are capable of. Mixing road with off-road trails, you will traverse the breathtaking scenery of East Anglia. Inspired by the compass and the historic travels of the Iceni tribe, our unique "Cloverleaf" course design allows you to explore Norfolk, Suffolk, and Cambridgeshire in four distinct loops, all centering around a single, warm hub.
At All Pace Races, we are committed to changing the face of ultra-cycling. The very lands you will be riding across were once commanded by Queen Boudicca. The legendary leader who proved that strength, grit, and endurance are not defined by gender. In honour of her spirit and to encourage more women to take the start line, we will be putting on workshops and webinars leading up to the event, aimed at dialling in your kit and nutrition strategies to mastering navigation and mental grit. We want to help up-skill you in the months leading to the start line. You’ll arrive feeling prepared, capable, and ready to ride like a Queen.
We are building a supportive, balanced community where everyone feels welcome to push their limits. Whether you are a seasoned pro or a first-timer, this is your space to shine.
We’ve removed the intimidation and logistical headaches of traditional ultra-racing so you can focus on the ride:
You Choose Your Distance: The four-loop format gives you total ownership. Aim for the full 360 miles, or complete 90, 180, or 270. You decide on the day how far your legs will take you.
Travel Light: Forget weighing your bike down with tents and heavy bags. Our central checkpoint at Breckland High School allows you to leave a drop bag with all your gear. Loop back, change your clothes, refuel, and head back out light and fast.
Comfort & Safety: The central hub offers a warm hall to sleep in and a safe environment with marshals ready to support you. With easy access to toilets. You are never too far from help, and our "broom wagon" pick-up service is available day or night if you need a lift back.
Hot Water & Warm Food: The central hub will give you access to a kettle and microwave. Bring with you some instant food and be able to sit and eat in peace. Or even better share a cup of tea with fellow Iceni compatriot.
Live Tracking: Friends and family can watch your dot move across the map live on Dotwatcher, while our team monitors your progress to ensure your safety.
When: October 31st - November 1st
Time Limit: You have 40 hours, starting early Saturday morning. Riders are set off at 1 minute intervals starting at 7am.
The Bike: Designed for Gravel Bikes. We recommend chunky tires for comfort and protection on the off-road segments.
E-bikes are allowed, but please let us know if you are using one
The Vibe: Join us Friday night to bunk down at in the hall, grab dinner (available for purchase), and soak up the pre-ride atmosphere.
We encourage everyone to get to the start line under their own steam. Lift-sharing is highly encouraged (check our Facebook page to offer or find a space!), but limited parking permits are available for purchase below. We also recommend personal liability insurance and medical cover for overseas riders.
Note on Pairs: If you enter as a duo, you ride as a duo. If one rider needs to finish early, both must finish early. Teamwork is key!
Every finisher earns a handmade Iceni 360 tile.
Don’t wait! Sign up today, push your boundaries, and see how many routes you can conquer!
Norfolk 360: The Best Beginner’s Ultra-Cycle Event
Want to try ultra-cycling or a bikepacking event but aren't sure where to begin? Norfolk 360 gives you the full ultra-distance experience wrapped up in a single, supportive weekend. It is designed to allow standard club cyclists to take on an ultra-cycling adventure without years of prep or buying expensive new gear.
"A brilliantly organised event. It pushes you more than I'd imagined, challenges your biking skills as well as your fitness & was a great introduction to the camaraderie of endurance riding." – David Allsop, 2024
The Norfolk 360 is a hybrid event featuring 70% road and 30% off-road cycling, taking you from Thetford Forest to the North Norfolk Coast. Because of the varied terrain, gravel bikes with chunky tires are recommended for comfort and protection.
The compass-inspired route consists of 4 distinct loops that total 360 miles. You have 36 hours (starting early Saturday morning in April) to complete as much of the course as you want. You can choose your distance:
110 miles
200 miles
280 miles
The full 360 miles
"What a great event. The camaraderie was great at the base. The road was beautiful taking in some of the best bits of Norfolk on quiet roads. The spirit of the event is lovely…particularly in those dark times!" – Rider Review of 2024
What makes this event perfect for beginners is the hub-and-spoke design. All four loops start and end at a central checkpoint in Claxton Village Hall.
Travel Light: No need to carry heavy camping gear or extra clothes. Leave a bag at the central checkpoint and grab what you need after each loop.
Safe Haven: The hall is a warm, safe environment where you can sleep and store essentials, with event staff on-site 24/7 for guidance.
Friday Night Vibe: Arrive on Friday night to bunk down at the hall, buy dinner, and swap stories with other riders before the early Saturday start.
You are never hundreds of miles from safety, and there are direct routes back to the hall if you need them.
Live Tracking: Your ride is tracked live (via platforms like Dotwatcher.cc) so friends, family, and the All Pace Races team can monitor your progress.
Pick-Up Service: If you get truly stuck, there is a day-and-night rescue service available.
"If you're ready for an event but they all sound too daunting? This is the event for you. Most excellent support from Tom and crew. Can't wait to see what's next on their event calendar." – 2024 Rider
Pairs: If you enter as a pair, you must ride together. If one pulls out, the other must as well.
Rewards: Every participant receives a handmade Norfolk 360 tile.
E-bikes: E-bikes are allowed, but please let us know if you are planning on riding one.
Travel: Participants are encouraged to travel under their own steam or carpool. Venue parking is strictly limited and requires a prepaid permit.
Insurance: Personal liability insurance is encouraged, and medical/accident cover is recommended for overseas riders.
